Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute)-Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

A lively and virtuosic arrangement of Mozart’s famous “Queen of the Night” aria from The Magic Flute, reimagined for clarinet quartet. The brilliant coloratura, dramatic character, and unmistakable energy of the original are preserved while the vocal and orchestral parts are redistributed among four clarinets.

The arrangement gives each instrument an active role, allowing the famous rapid passages and melodic lines to move naturally throughout the ensemble. The different registers of the clarinets create a rich chamber texture while maintaining the clarity and brilliance that make this aria so memorable.

Particular attention has been given to articulation, balance, phrasing, and technical clarity, making the arrangement both challenging and enjoyable to perform as a chamber work.
